Hi

im just working on upgrading a 44 with the dada kit. I need to remove the front panel to get to one of the opamps but I can’t see how to remove the volume knob?

Is this just a push fit or is there a method for removing it with a hidden Allen screw or something similar

thanks for any help

The volume knob has an Allen-keyed grubscrew. When you get it off you will then need to remove the balance control (2 screws) and the bass and tilt controls (more grubscrews).

hi

thanks very much for the reply. I wonder if these instructions are for the 34 not the 44 as after some time playing yesterday I discovered the 44 volume is push fit while the 34 is as you describe.

in any case this is now sol Ed from my point of view but I post this in case anyone else looks back at this. thanks once again

Correct, I was thinking of the 34 throughout. Now that I've had a look at both ;-) I can confirm that to remove the 44 front panel:

- remove the volume knob (push fit)

- remove the two flat tilt controls (Allen key grubscrews)

- remove the slope knob (Allen key)

- remove the filter selector lever (2 Allen keys inside the front panel.

When refitting, ensure that the flat tilt controls lie clear of the panel, not scraping it.
