Hi everyone.

thanks to the site owners for allowing me on to the forum.

my question is what do I do to bring the 34 into the 21st century please? Check/replace the psu caps, electrolytics on the main board? There is a bit of damage to the main board, caused by a couple of leaky caps, and someone has damaged the circuit trace from the class x2 cap to the mains switch! But the unit is fully functional and cosmetically very good...

thanks in advance

regards Lee.

Hello,

For an overview of the worn out components to be replaced and other improvements see the Upgrade / Revision manual, it is on the Download-page.

As the amplifier is older than 30 years it needs maintenance, not only to guarantee the functioning but mainly to keep the original sound quality.

A kit for doing a revision is here: http://www.dadaelectronics.eu/shop/quad-upgrade-kits
