I have a 99 Preamp, 2x 99 monobloc poweramps and now a 99 CD-S cd player.
The 2 monoblocs have a 15way Quadlink cable linked them. RCA cables link the preamp with the 2 power amps. A special cable links the Quadlink connector on the Preamp to 1 of the mono blocks, this connects Pin 7 and Pin 12 between both ends. This setup allows the remote to operate the pre amp and to turn the monoblocs into standby mode or switch them on.

Now I want to be able to turn the CD-S on as well, signal again via RCA connector, but I would also like the remote control to be able to control the CD player.

What cable wiring is needed?

Hi Hugh, because the quadlink cable can connect all 99 devices I think you must use the same pins as you use to set the poweramps in standby mode, (not yet tested ) regards Kees

Many thanks for the reply, I have now had a message back from Quad, seems there advice changes, this response now says 'The preferred method that delivers optimum results is via the balanced Quad link cables and not RCA'

So looks like it is back to quadlink and dispense with RCA
