Can I use the Burson Opamp on my 44, has anybody try it

They comes with V5 & V5i Both with Single and Dual

on both the input board and tone control board ?

The OPA and LM opamps in the revision kit do an excellent job in the 44.

We do not recommend using other opamps.

I tried Burson op-amps in a 405, hmh, to say the least. Some general remarks about 'home made' op-amps, the idea that you can improve with a few transistors on the design and manufacturing power of pro op-amp builders, does not make sense. And if the design was any good, they were asked to work in Silicon Valley without any doubt. In a 44, Quad used resistors with very high values, in a series 1 Quad 44 it is even worse. So in most cases the distortion improvement, if any, will be dwarfed by the noise of the circuit. So beyond a certain point, no improvement is to be expected.
