Hi all, after a long session of changing components in my 306, to find an issue of distortion. I found a similar problem to that of another member whereby the post had broken on the transistor T8. Only noticeable when de-soldering one joint and the thing fell off. Happy days problem solved. My issue now is which transistors do I replace them with (i will replace them all). I cant find the 40872 on here in parts or the 40872 replacement as posted ref the 405 amp.

What t7 and t8 Transistor have been found to be the best replacement in the 306? thanks

You can use BD242 or any near equivalent, e.g. NTE153, or any of the others listed on the 405 Replacement Transistors page in the blog.
