Hi forum,

I'll be receiving a Quad 33 shortly and will have a brief window in which to test it with a 303 power amp (that I use already with a Quad 34 via RCA sockets. The 303 still has its DIN inputs as well as RCAs). The 33 comes with no cables so I'll wire some up myself. My concern is that the 5-pin and 4-pin plugs that I've found here in the Brazilian market do not have the shield notch at directly below the pins on the circular rim of the plug. Does that matter?

I hope you can see the photo in the following link. This the type of 4-pin plug that I have ordered. The 5 pin plugs that I bought locally in the city also lack the shield notch:

Thanks a lot!

Please ignore the above. I'm not familiar with DIN plugs and see now that the notch is a guide and not an actual soldered connection.

Thanks Stefaan, I may order metal the plugs once I've tested with some plastic ones.
