When upgrading a 33, I found two 2200uF 25V in your kit. In the manual it says replacement for C500 & C501 with 2x 1000uF or 1500uF is required, with no mention of 2200uF.

Is this okay?

You got lucky, relax. 1000uF is enough in this little power supply, but sometimes stock dictates we ship something larger.

For power-supply capacitors counts: The larger the better.

Well, up to the point of diminishing returns at least, and also up to the limits of the transformer phase angle. I've seen capacitors up to 10,000uF in preamplifiers (non-Quad) but it's unusual to see more than 1000uF.
