Hello,

I use presently two 405-II mono-blocked in parallel way with ESL63, and I appreciate the sound.

Is it recommended if upgraded them with high end dada cards and staying mono-blocked ?
I mean is there any interest or is it useless ?
Is there more risk to damage the amplifier output with high end cards if mono-blocked ?

Thanks for information, Ronan

I'm not much of a believer in monoblocking in general, but in any case you certainly don't need monoblocking to drive an ESL-63, as it already has lower limits on its input than a single 405 channel can provide. I would undo it and repldoy or sell the second 405. But make sure you have the voltage limiters in place inside the 405 that you keep.

You're certainly right EJP, but if I would like to try it unless if upgraded 405-II with dada high end kit present more a risk of being to damage in the monoblock configuration (outputs together with resistors) than the original 405.

Regarding the voltage limiters could you give me more details ? Where they are. I am only aware of limiters for the ESL-57.
