Hello, x2 quick questions about the 909.

I would like to use Nichicon KZ for C9, C11, but they are a bit too large. Is it ok to "fly" them and have 8mm of space between the cap and PCB?

Also, is ALC10C the same as ALP22A for sound quality?

Thankyou very much : )

Connecting capacitors in that way is not without risk, due to the strain on the circuit board. I don't know the 'sound' differance between a ALC and ALP in a power suply.

Dada Electronics did some tests on ALP22A and said the high frequency was great ect.

Just want to know if ALC10C would be just as good?

As far as I remember, but I do not remember all the postings, we stated that the impedance at high frequencies is low. But maybe another member of the forum has tested both elco's in the PSU of the same amplifier and has a full detailed, double blind tested off course, report.
