Hi,
I'm following Dada's 306 revision manual v 1.4 and would like help with twovery basic beginner questions about step 4:
  • When measuring output voltages do I just apply an input signal and measure the resulting voltage across the output terminals or do I plug in the speakers (or a dummy load) too.? When is a dummy load used (and when not used)?
  • Does 'one channel driven' mean 'power both channels but apply a signal voltage to one channel and measure the corresponding output voltage'?
Many thanks for looking.

Regards,

Bernard.

Measuring without a dummy load is fine just to check if the amp is working correctly. If you want to check the specifications you need dummy loads and extra measuring equipment.

One channel driven means only one channel is connected to the source buth both channels are powered up.
