Hello everyone, i pop lid off 909 amp and all is good, but how to remove the boards?

I have the very long screwdriver to put through the holes and successfully remove some screws, but i can't access the middle screw because R16/R17 blocking the access to the middle screw lol.

Do R16/R17 need to be taken off board before i can access the screw below? (so can remove boards)

Take a look at the "Quad 606 MK I, II, 707 and 909 Upgrade/Revision Manual V2.4" manual in the download section. According to this manual the disassembly of a 909 is identical to a 606 and is described in the manual. Perhaps it helps.

Don't try to run your screwdriver through the centre hole past R16/17. Just go straight onto the screw, as vertically as you can, from outside the hole but as close as you can get without fouling anything.

Thankyou EJP, also how to remove Fuse 2 and Fuse 3? If i pull up/lift up from the middle part of the fuse will the glass section break? or will it release from the tiny metal clams with some gentle lifting?

Not sure how to get them out?

Fairly gentle lifting should do it, from one end if possible, or closer to an end than the middle, i.e. one end at a time. Once you have one end free you're home and hosed.

I am curious, people say R16/R17 have "pluggable" wirewound resistors, and these have solid metal connections not the traditional wire. Is the purpose of the metal here is create space between the board and resistors, or is the metal acting like heatsink?
